Terms & Conditions

BOOKING
Online bookings must be paid for in full at time of booking. Payments are processed by PayPal, a secure credit card payment facility. Your booking is not secured until payment has been made.
Online booking is highly advised as it is the only way to guarantee your booking. ‘Walk-ins’ during peak months will rarely be be facilitated due to secured bookings taking priority.
Luxury Charter Lough Corrib does not store, nor have any access to your credit card details.

CANCELLATION
Due to the nature of the service we provide, we must enforce a cancellation policy.
Bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to departure: €100
Bookings cancelled between 60 days and 30 days prior to departure: €150
Bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure: €200
No-shows on the day: Full cost of booking

DEPARTURE TIMES
Departure time is confirmed after booking is made. Once confirmed, departure time must be adhered to. We cannot compensate or extend time on-board due to late arrivals.

ALTERATIONS / CANCELLATIONS MADE BY US
Once bookings have been confirmed it is very unlikely that any changes will need to be made. However, in rare occasions, some changes may have to be made due to weather.
If minor changes need to be made before departure we will endeavour to inform you. No compensation will be made for minor changes which are out of our control such as wind or heavy rain.
If there is a major change before departure (ie. cancellation due to severe weather) and we must cancel the trip, a full refund will be offered, limited to the amount of final payment received by us.

WEATHER
‘Cranki’ is a high-powered motor yacht which will rarely be affected be adverse weather conditions. However, if the skipper feels it is unsafe to travel, your trip may be delayed. No monetary compensation can be offered for delay, only complete cancellation (as explained above)

INSURANCE
All paid guests on-board ‘Cranki’ are covered under our own fully comprehensive insurance. This covers personal liability but does not cover damage to accessories (ie. camera damaged by water). Guests are wholly responsible for any equipment they bring on-board.

STORAGE
We cannot accept large luggage items. Handbags / Backpacks are acceptable but guests are wholly responsible for the safety of these items while on-board.

WI-FI
We offer complimentary Wi-Fi while on-board to all guests where coverage allows. Please be aware that you are enjoying rural Ireland where there will be no communications masts to hinder your view. For this reason, internet access may not always be available.

SMOKING
Smoking is completely forbidden on-board. Under no circumstances may a person smoke while on-board. Guests may smoke while not on-board. 

CHILDREN
Luxury Charter Lough Corrib is suitable for guests of 14 years of age and over.

SWIMMING
Swimming from the boat is permitted. Person(s) under the age of 18 MUST wear a personal flotation device while in the water (provided). No responsibility will be taken for any accidents which occur while swimming. Luxury Charter Lough Corrib assume that any person(s) who wish to go swimming are competent swimmers. If alcohol has been consumed, swimming is not permitted (no exceptions).

PARTICIPATION
All guests are expected to be fit and able bodied. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the trip and layout of the boat, we are limited in our ability to cater for passengers with disabilities. If you suffer from mobility impairment, illness or disability, undergoing treatment for any physical of mental condition then Luxury Charter Lough Corrib may not be suitable for you. If you have any concerns, please contact us before booking.

CLIENT BEHAVIOUR
For your safety, the skipper will remain in charge of the motor yacht at all times and has ultimate discretion over your itinerary.  We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to terminate your charter if your behaviour is likely, in our opinion, or that of our employees, to cause distress, damage, annoyance, or danger to our employees or to any third party, or their property. This includes the excessive consumption of alcohol (which will be in the skippers opinion).  If you are prevented from travelling for this reason, we have no further responsibility for your trip, including any arrangements for your return home or point of embarkation.  We will impose full cancellation charges and no refunds will be offered.
Furthermore, we will be under no obligation whatsoever in these circumstances, to pay you compensation or cover any costs you may incur as a result of having to make alternative arrangements.
